I love skin care. I cleanse and moisturise twice a day, and exfoliate, mask, and apply a serum 2-3 times a week. I’ve been following a daily and nightly skin care routine since I was twelve years old. Puberty wasn’t too kind to me with the many cystic acne flare ups, so I’ve tried everything and anything under the sun.
My skin tends to get dryer in the colder months, so I alter my nightly skin care routine to treat the dryness with moisturising products. My cheeks, chin, nose, and lips are usually affected by the weather the most. Why do I only alter my nightly routine? According to experts, the best time to treat our skin is during the night while our skin rejuvenates.
My sister has really dry skin due to the Rosacea on her cheeks and nose, and a Sephora employee suggested she try the Laneige products. She purchased the Hydration-To-Go! value set to try out the line and the results were amazing! The redness and flaking subsided, and her skin texture was improved. Her skin looks great! So I decided to give it a try, and since she was running out of product, we went halfsies on our order from Sephora.
Lip Sleeping Mask
The first treatment I turn to when the weather changes is a lip treatment for my dry and cracked lips. I apply a generous amount of the Lip Sleeping Mask every night before bed. This lip mask is meant to reduce flakiness and treat the lips overnight with a rich vitamin C and antioxidants formula.
I saw the benefits of this lip mask after about two weeks of use. I wipe off whatever is left of the mask the next morning. The flakiness has reduced significantly!
Lip Glowy Balm
I wear the Lip Glowy Balm everyday; I apply it in the morning after breakfast and then again after lunch.
This is one of my favourite products. I don’t find it too sticky, and it keeps my lips hydrated through out the day. Shea butter is one of the key ingredients, which is why this lip product is so hydrating.
Pair this with the Lip Sleeping Mask and your lips will remain hydrated throughout the colder months!
Moisturizing Cream Cleanser
I wasn’t crazy about the Moisturizing Cream Cleanser at first, but then I massaged the product onto my face when slightly damp, not sopping wet, and rinsed with tepid water. My skin does feel softer afterwards. I wouldn’t recommend this cleanser as a first cleanse when removing makeup, I would suggest using this as a second cleanse.
Cream Skin Milk Oil Cleanser
I love a good milk cleanser; I find them to be soothing and gentle on the skin, but I’ve never tried a milk oil cleanser before this one. The Cream Skin Milk Oil Cleanser is formulated to treat all skin types (according to the description on Sephora), meaning it will help hydrate combination and oily skin too! Although I do have dry skin this time of year, I still get a little oily in the T-zone. I’m lucky, right?
At first, I was a little skeptical due to the oiliness of the product, but I really like it. My skin is left feeling hydrated and the dry areas on my skin are much softer. I apply the product onto a dry face and then massage with some tepid water, and remove with a gentle face cloth.
I would recommend using this cleanser as a first cleanse to remove makeup.
Water Bank Moisture Cream
I have such a hard time with night creams because they are often too rich and I tend to break out on my forehead and cheeks, but this one hasn’t broken me out! Yippee!
This cream can be used in the AM and/or PM and a little goes a long way. Formulated with a green mineral water, the Water Bank Moisture Cream not only hydrates the skin, but also treats acne and blemishes. My skin doesn’t feel sticky after applying and remains hydrated until the morning.
Water Bank Hydro Essence
The Water Bank Hydro Essence is life changing! It’s super hydrating and doesn’t irritate my skin.
I apply this product before applying the Water Bank Moisture Cream when I feel it needs extra hydration. I love applying it after exfoliating, my skin drinks it up!
Overall, I’m really pleased with these products! They are super hydrating and results are apparent within the first few weeks. My skin is left feeling hydrated and fresh!
