I took advantage of Indigo‘s Black Friday sale and treated myself to some books. Because some of the best presents are the ones you buy for yourself! And what better way to get into the Holiday Spirit than some holiday themed books?
Genre: Romance I’m excited to read this book, it received rave reviews and is already a New York Times Bestseller. I’ve never read a book from this writing duo before, but they’re books are supposed to be funny, so I’m looking forward to a good laugh and some romance.
Genre: Romance This book has been on my list since its release two years ago, and the only reason I didn’t purchase it then is because I was busy with school. Thank God that’s over, I get to read for fun now.
I’m a sucker for a good love story, and the plot reminds me of the movie Serendipity, which is a holiday film in case you’re interested.
Sophie Kinsella is one of my favourite authors. Her protagonists always find themselves in some kind of predicament with a few kerfuffles along the way, and they always have me laughing out loud. Kinsella never disappoints.
Although this is not a festive themed holiday novel, the protagonist does go on holiday to a writer’s retreat… so I get to travel to Italy again via Ava.
I’m really looking forward to curling up with these books.
