Moroccanoil Hair Care

If you’ve never heard of Moroccanoil, or at least had the pleasure of smelling their products’ signature scent, then you’ve been living under a rock. There’s a reason why these products are best sellers. Delicious fragrance aside, these products actually work and are part of my haircare routine.

Moroccanoil was co-founded by Carmen Tal, who discovered that argan oil was a great way to treat her botched colour job and revitalised her hair by using this treatment. She found that this was a great way to maintain shine and manage hair as well, and wanted to share this with other women.

Moroccanoil made its debut with Moroccanoil Treatment, and this one product lead to more hair care products, styling tools, and eventually a collection of body products. All their products are infused with pure Moroccon argan oil which is rich in minerals, vitamins, and antioxidants.

Without further ado, here are the products I love to use.

Moroccoanoil Treatment

I first tried this treatment when my mom brought it home from work. She’s a hairdresser and likes to try out new products on my sister and I since we’re her guinea pigs. Happy guinea pigs if I do say so! It was instant love for this product.

This product is used to treat and add shine to hair, and speeds up the hair-drying process, which I mean count me in because I hate drying my hair. It can also be used on dry hair. I use this product after the Protect & Prevent Spray.

Protect & Prevent Spray

This spray is meant to protect hair colour but can also be used as a detangling spray. I use this product to untangle my hair after washing, and I do notice that my colour lasts longer in between dyes. This is my preferred product for untangling my hair, I haven’t tried anything else that compares.

Curl Defining Cream

This is my favourite product! My hair isn’t super curly, but it does wave, so I get some really nice natural looking beach waves by using this cream. Since I’m not a big fan of drying my hair, I prefer to let it dry naturally and I always use this product, especially during the summer months.

The great thing about this product is that once dry, it leaves my hair feeling soft, none of that crunchy texture that some mousses or gels leave. This is a constant repurchase.

Molding Cream

Who here has personally been victimised by flyaways? They are just so annoying, or maybe you also have that one or few strands of hair that don’t know where to go so they fall in the middle of your face… Just me?

This product is meant to sculpt and add texture to a hairstyle, but I mainly use it to hold my flyaways and my bangs in place.

Restorative Hair Mask

I’ve been dying my hair for a quite a few years now and have gone blonder in the past two, so my hair tends to get pretty dry. Not to mention that my hair gets dryer during the winter months, so this is one of the products I use to give my hair some love.

Dry Body Oil

This isn’t a hair product but it deserves a mention.
I got this body oil from a holiday set, and oh man I want to bathe in this stuff! I don’t use it every day, it feels too luxurious for daily use, but I love that I can spray it onto my skin rather than pour the contents out of a bottle.

I love these products! They never disappoint and leave my hair feeling nourished, smooth, and smelling delicious!
Moroccanoil products can be bought from their website, your hairdresser, or from Sephora.
