Burt’s Bees Products Review

I’ve been using Burt’s Bees lip products since I was a teenager, and they were the go-to brand when it came to keeping my lips hydrated and adding a little bit of colour. I always kept one of their pomegranate lip balms in my coat pocket during the fall and winter seasons since the winters in Montreal are so cold. I’ve tried a few more of their lip products over the years like their Glossy Lipstick, Glossy Lip Crayon, Matte Lip Crayon, and Lip Shimmer, in a variety of colours, and have always been happy with them.

I was happy to be gifted some of their new products to try out which was really exciting since I already love the brand, and this was the first PR package I’ve ever received. There were a bunch of goodies in the box and I’ve enjoyed trying them all.

Goodness Glows Face Primer is an illuminating and hydrating primer that gives the skin a beautiful natural looking glow. As a girl with combination skin, I was worried this wouldn’t really work for me, but it ended up surprising me. I wouldn’t necessarily wear this on a really hot day because everything would just slip off my face, but on those cooler days when I’m going for a minimal look. I wore this alone and it was quite nice and smells lovely. Good news is that it didn’t make me break out which is always a bonus. The primer is formulated with avocado oil and natural minerals.

Goodness Glows Miracle Balm hydrates the dry spots with a non-sticky or greasy formula. I apply this on my cuticles every night before bed and I’m genuinely happy with it. This also has a lovely scent.

The Volumizing mascara didn’t impress me to be honest. I don’t think my lashes looked any different compared to using other mascaras on the market and it did flake a little, but I do like the fact that it is a cruelty free product and made with 100% natural ingredients.

I really like the Colour NurtureTM Creamy Eye Shadow in Rose Cream. The colour is a beautiful rose gold and the application is effortless and buildable.

The Colour NurtureTM Moisturizing Cream Blush with Vitamin E in Guava Meringue didn’t impress me either. The colour is very faint, and I guess the point is to build the colour with application, but it just didn’t do it for me.

Lastly, I received the SqueezyTM Tinted Lip Balm in four shades: Mandarin Granita, Watermelon Rush, Berry Sorbet, and Sweet Peach. The balms are formulated with 100% natural ingredients and give the lips a lovely tint while hydrating and nourishing the lips. I really love these. I think they’re so fun, the colours are gorgeous, and they’re tasty too!

Overall, I’m really impressed with these products! They’re made from natural ingredients, they’re not tested on animals, they’re affordable, and the pigments are beautiful! All products are free of parabens, phtahlates, petrolatum, and SLS.

Face primer, cream eyeshadow in Rose Cream, cream blush in Guava Meringue, Lip Squeezy balms in Sweet Peach, Manadarin Granita, Berry Sorbet, and Watermelon Rush.

If you’re looking for some new makeup for the summer or want to treat yourself to something fun, then I recommend you give these a go.
