My sister always gives me the best presents, and she didn’t disappoint this year, especially when our friend Jess told us about the palette she built on the ColourPop website, and my sister told me she wanted this to be my birthday present this year. My birthday present arrived two months late due to the COVID-19 lockdown, but it was worth the wait, I was so excited when it finally arrived in the mail.
There are two palette sizes; small which retails for $24 USD and large which retails for $48 USD, with the choice of pressed eyeshadow and cheek colours. There were so many colours to chose from, but I finally decided on the colours below. The only downfall is that I couldn’t fill up the palette with 12 eyeshadow colours because the palette itself counts as the 12th piece in the order… but, its no big deal. I picked matte and metallic pressed powders, and pressed glitters. The eyeshadows are individually packaged, and you can arrange and swap them in any order you because the palette is magnetic.
I mean, WOW!!! The formulation of these eyeshadows is similar to the Tati Beauty Vol. 1 palette (also manufactured by Seed Beauty) which I received as a Christmas present from my sister.I told you you she gets me the best presents. These colours are so pigmented that just the smallest amount will do the trick. They’re so pretty and I can’t wait to wear them!
I’m really happy with the colours I chose. I was a little worried since the website doesn’t include swatches of the colours, just a photo of the pressed powder in the pan, but everything turned out well.
I love that ColourPop offer this option to their consumers because, I don’t know about you but, there is always that one colour in an eyeshadow palette, or maybe two, that I never end up using. I will definitely use all these colours. If you’re looking for a new eyeshadow palette, I suggest you consider making your own, it’s so much fun!
